Man City will naturally look to secure a high-scoring victory against their weaker opponents and turn the match into something resembling a training session. The light rain expected during the match could also make life particularly difficult for AEK’s backup goalkeeper, Alberto Brignoli.
Erling Haaland’s availability remains uncertain, although he is expected to play. If he does take the field, he will surely give the AEK supporters who displayed a special banner for him last week quite a welcome.

Viking achieved a historic result last week by holding FC Bayern Munich to a draw. Unai Emery’s somewhat rebuilt Aston Villa side are gradually finding their form this season. They were particularly impressive last week when they demolished Fenerbahçe 6–0 in a historic victory. They will now want to entertain their supporters with another emphatic win against a Viking side that are considerably weaker than they are.

Ararat-Armenia are one of several very weak teams with modest squads competing in the Europa League, thanks in no small part to UEFA’s new format. For them, this tournament can essentially be considered a valuable opportunity to gain experience.
AZ Alkmaar, meanwhile, have ambitions of achieving success in the Europa League and will enter this match determined to win. With difficult opponents such as Juventus FC awaiting them in the coming weeks, they know they cannot afford any mistakes here. They should return to the Netherlands with all three points.

AFC Bournemouth vs AC Milan

Bournemouth have made a very poor start to the season and are going through a difficult period. Yes, they have shown some signs of recovery by winning their last two matches. However, one of those victories came against SK Sturm Graz, a considerably weaker side, while the other came against Sunderland AFC, who have also made a poor start to the season and were reduced to ten men during the match. We cannot consider these victories convincing evidence of a genuine recovery.
There is a positive atmosphere around Milan, who are working on a long-term project centered around Ruben Amorim. Amorim is gradually beginning to establish his system.
